I want to thank you for taking the time to read my profile. Like anything else in life, when something matters we may feel overwhelmed at the thought of moving forward. It takes courage to ask for and seek out help, and I understand the anxiety that may come with that. The therapeutic relationship is just that, a relationship and as your therapist, we can work together to build rapport and trust so that you can feel a sense of safety and security.
If you have lost a loved one, are feeling the pain of losing a relationship or job, or any other major loss in life, it is important to have your support systems in place including a therapist. I have over ten years of experience with a broad range of clinical issues working with depression, anxiety, and grief. Therapy is not one size fits all, I utilize a lot of different therapeutic approaches in treatment such as person-centered, cognitive behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic psychotherapy.
I am currently in training at Tampa Bay Psychoanalytic Institute to be a certified psychoanalytic psychotherapist which focuses on the partnership between the client and patient. I believe it is really important to start where you are at and build a treatment plan around what’s best for you. Every individual is unique, has the capacity to make meaningful changes, and possesses great strengths.
Therapy is such an amazing experience, one where you can really get to know and understand yourself. I hope you find the right therapist for you and if that is with me, I look forward to speaking with you.
